For my first tutorial for DSDN 206, we were instructed to listen brands that we follow/ have accounts for (E.g. Facebook, Vimeo, Wordpress etc) and then to listen specific words that display an idea/meaning to the brands listed.
After putting a list of all the brands I know and am registered too, I began to write down some words that will describe the brands. Some of the brands that I listed consisted of mainly common ones such as "Facebook" "Vimeo" "Youtube" etc. The list was consistent of both university accounts and my own personal accounts.
The word I ended up choosing is "Custom". I chose this word above others such as enjoyable and interactive because to me, all the brands I had listed down were able to in some way gave users the ability to be free to chose their layout, content etc to be your own person online.
I also liked this word best because its something personal I believe too. To me, everyone is different in one way or another and has their own way of expressing the differences they have to others, especially in design (E.g what they produce, the way they work etc). As I was brainstorming, the word "Custom" was a very wise choice for me as it gave me the chance to use words I didn't think of first time round.
After this word was chosen, it all seemed to flow for me. Below is the graph I have mapped out in class and am excited to work on more of my projects for this class in the trimester.
